Installation images of the AIMdefense firewall for 64-bit systems (amd64). All files are hosted on our package server pkg.aimdefense.tech.

Installation with monitor

For devices with a screen and keyboard. The installer runs on the graphical output.

Permanent links to the latest version

These addresses always point to the current version, at present 26.1.6. Use them for bookmarks and scripts.

  1. Download the matching file: Monitor for devices with a screen and keyboard, Serial console for devices without graphics output, FW-600 for the FW-600 hardware.
  2. Compare the checksum of the downloaded file with the one given here. On Linux use sha1sum , on macOS shasum , on Windows certutil -hashfile SHA1.
  3. Unpack. The current images are compressed with bzip2 (extension .bz2). On Linux and macOS use bunzip2 , on Windows for example 7-Zip.
  4. Write the unpacked image to a USB stick, for example with balenaEtcher or on Linux with dd. This overwrites the stick completely.
  5. Boot the device from the stick and follow the installation guide further down.

Older versions

Please always use the current version for new installations. Older versions are meant for special cases, such as restoring an existing setup.
