Is AIMdefense the successor to the ICM Firewall?
Yes. AIMdefense continues the ICM Firewall. Software development, sales and support are handled by Secure 2 Fiber. The software is continuously developed further: core updates twice a year, security updates weekly depending on urgency.
How do I migrate my existing system?
Via a system migration with the provided migration script (migrate.sh) from the AIMdefense package server. The step-by-step guide with screenshots is available in German and English in the documentation.
Will the license portal, package server and DynDNS keep running?
Yes. The service subdomains under aimdefense.tech remain in operation, and existing DynDNS entries continue to work.
What changes for subscription and support?
You move to the AIMdefense model: a software subscription for 1, 3 or 5 years and four support packages from Basic to Elite with defined response times.
